Darling Emma
“Emma Woodhouse, handsome, clever, and rich, with a comfortable home and happy disposition, seemed to unite some of the best blessings of existence; and had lived nearly twenty-one years in the world with very little to distress or vex her.”
Darling Emma was inspired by the character Emma Woodhouse in Jane Austen’s “Emma”. Like the original Emma, she is romantic in a very practical way, showing a lovely lacey pattern, and beautiful collar. Its construction and design are versatile and clever, being that it’s knit bottom up completely seamlessly. It features a waist-band that allows the cardigan to be worn open with the waist-band tied at the back, or closed by tying it in the front. The gauge it’s knitted in gives it a wonderful drape, completing her personality with a sense of independence and free will.
