This is an INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Pattern

This beanie is unlike any you’ve seen before! Constructed sideways and slanting, the single panel is then joined with short horizontal rows. There’s no seaming!

Made with Bulky (5) yarn, you can make it with 2 colors, or 1. It’s warm. It’s cozy. It looks great with a pom or without! This pattern is completely unisex and perfect for boys/men and girls/women!

Materials
• Bulky Weight (5) Yarn, 2 colors (Bulky Yarn from Aquarius Make used in samples, mustard and teal)
• K 6.5mm hook
• Large-eyed needle for weaving ends

Note: You can crochet the beanie to any width, so these are merely approximations. You will need 2 contrasting colors (if desired).
Toddler (fits up to 18” circumference): 55yds/15yds
Child (fits up to 20” circumference): 62yds/17yds
Adult Small (fits up to 21.5” circumference): 77yds/25yds
Adult Large (fits up to 23.5” circumference): 88yds/ 30yds

Pattern Notes
• All directions are written in American Crochet Terms.
• Beginning ch 1 or ch 2 do not count as stitches.
• 3L is locate in front of and below the front loop of the stitch.
• Pattern is written for toddler size. Other sizes are given in parentheses ( ).
• Beanie can be made to any width. Simply crochet the number of rows you want. Be sure to check sizing by trying on after adding the horizontal rows and before adding edging.
• Even rows are the wrong side of the beanie; odd rows are the right side.
• In every other even row of the horizontal piece, you will be sc, sc2tog, sc in the middle two hdc stitches In the other even rows, you will put 2 scs in the middle stitch.
