This purse was designed for my friend Clare who was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer last year. She is always an inspiration to me as she stoically gets on with life with no fuss even whilst having her treatment.

I wanted to knit her something to be a small reminder I was thinking of her. In the end I decided to design a purse.

The purse can be done in any colour but teal is the colour for Cervical Cancer whilst pink is often used to represent Breast Cancer. It takes about 16 m of 4ply, 54 beads and a 8cm by 4cm purse frame

Originally proceeds from the sale of the pattern went to Jo’s Trust (www.jostrust.org.uk) who have provided a lot of support to Clare during this difficult time. However due to the new VAT rules I have decided it easier to just give this free and trust you will make a donation to a charity.

You may sell this purse or use it for a KAL if proceeds go towards charity. However it would be nice to know if you do.
