Citrine is a perfect wear-everywhere pullover, with a relaxed, drop-shouldered silhouette, close-fitting long sleeves, and a slightly scooped neckline. Graphic columns of twisted ribbing travel diagonally across the upper yoke, converging precisely at the neckline with the exposed three-needle bind off used to join the shoulder seams. With its relaxed style, easy fit, and architectural details, Citrine is an elevated basic that’s likely to replace your favorite comfy sweatshirt.

1075 (1170, 1290, 1395, 1500, 1595) {1835, 1965, 2100, 2160} yards [985 (1070, 1180, 1275, 1370, 1460) {1680, 1795, 1920, 1975} meters] of worsted weight yarn needed
Samples shown in De Rerum Natura Gilliatt (100% French mérinos d’Arles and black Portuguese merino, carded and woolen spun in France); 270 yards [250 meters]/100 grams), in colorways ‘Forêt’ and ‘Genêt’; requires 4 (5, 5, 6, 6, 6) {7, 8, 8, 8} skeins.

If combining different sizes for Body & Sleeves, you will need:
For Body & Neckband: 785 (880, 965, 1050, 1140, 1225) {1440, 1550, 1665, 1700} yards [720 (805, 885, 960, 1040, 1120) {1320, 1415, 1520, 1555} meters] of worsted weight yarn
For Sleeves*: 290 (290, 325, 345, 360, 370) {395, 415, 435, 460} yards [265 (265, 295, 315, 330, 340) {360, 380, 400, 420} meters] of worsted weight yarn
*Note: If you are combining different sleeve & body sizes, you may need to lengthen or shorten the sleeves relative to the schematic measurements. This will increase or decrease the approximate yardage / meterage required for the sleeves.

GAUGE
18 stitches & 27.5 rows = 4” [10 cm] in stockinette stitch with Size A needle(s), after blocking
22 stitches & 26 rows = 4” [10 cm] in 1x1 twisted ribbing with Size A needle(s), after blocking

*A longer circular needle may be used for neckband if using the Magic Loop method for working small circumferences in the round.

NOTIONS
Stitch markers (minimum of 4), removable stitch markers (minimum of 2), waste yarn, blunt tapestry needle, blocking wires & T-pins (optional)

DIFFICULTY
Intermediate: Skills required for this pattern include casting on, binding off, increasing and decreasing, knitting in the round, picking up stitches, and seaming. Instructions are provided for special techniques used, including Alternating Cable Cast On, Sloped Bind Off, Short Rows (Wrap & Turn method), and Exposed Three-Needle Bind Off.

CONSTRUCTION NOTES
Pullover is knit flat from the bottom up in pieces and seamed.* The front and back shoulders are shaped with short rows (wrap & turn method), then joined using an exposed three-needle bind off at the shoulders. The sleeves are worked flat from the bottom up and sewn to the body. The neckband is worked in the round from stitches picked up along the neckline edge.

You can easily combine two sizes in this pattern, one for the body and another for the sleeves, in order to get just the right fit for you - you won’t need to make any modifications to the body, just follow the seaming instructions for your preferred sleeve size (not your ‘body’ size) to mark the base of the armhole and join your pieces.
