This is the second in a series of six patterns for a decorated Christmas Wreath, published gradually in December 2022.

The first things to add to the wreath are two garlands of leaves: honeysuckle and ivy. These were inspired by my own garden where I have a large honeysuckle bush and lots of Irish or Poet’s Ivy.

Both sets of leaves are knitted in a similar way and the flowers on the ivy are added with simple embroidery stitches. The leaves are knitted with two shades of green DK weight yarn and tension is not that important.
