Chima skirt, or skirt-skirt as the name actually means in Korean, is a classic wrap skirt worked in a beautiful moss stitch texture. It is inspired by the simple silhouettes and pencil skirts seen in many of the 1990’s American sit-coms. Style it with an oversized shirt or a T-shirt for a more casual look.

CONSTRUCTION
The skirt is worked from the waist down, with short rows to shape the back and a hole for the i-cord tie to wrap it around you. Increases are worked for the hips as well as decreases along the fronts.

LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY
The skirt is categorized as easy to medium.

SIZES
1 (2) 3 (4)

Circumference around upper hips (measured below the navel), approx.: 76-90 (90-100) 100-110 (110-125) cm / 29.9-35.4 (35.4-39.4) 39.4-43.3 (43.3-49.2)“

Finished measurements of entire width of skirt:
118 (134) 150 (164) cm / 46.5 (52.7) 59 (64.6)“

Length - short skirt: 42 (42) 44 (46) cm / 16.5 (16.5) 17.3 (18.1)“

Length - long skirt: 54 (54) 56 (58) cm / 21.3 (21.3) 22 (22.8)“

Size guide: the skirt is meant to sit right above your hip bones and has 8-12 cm / 3.2-4.7” of negative ease. Take your measurements just below your navel to find the correct size. In the photos, I am wearing a size 1 and measure 87 cm / 34.3” right below the navel.

TIP: if you are more curvy, you can easily add more increases to the back of the skirt.
