This pattern can be knitted using only 2 skeins of yarn -- but just barely. The scarf is only 36” long.

(I bought 2 skeins of this yarn on sale and made the hat and mittens and used the leftover yarn for the scarf.)

Size 6 needles are used for the mittens. The scarf and hat use size 8 needles.

The scarf border is 1-st garter st with a slip-stitch edge (for a 2-st border)..
