Chezzetcook Inlet

Chezzetcook Inlet is a shallow bay situated on the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. Once known for a large clam fishery, its salt marshes and sandy mud flats provide food and shelter for many sea birds. It is common to see bald eagles, great blue herons, cormorants and of course, the Canada goose. In the spring, the arrival of the geese heralds warmer weather and in the fall their departure is a bittersweet sign of the coming cold. Inspired by the colours of the inlet, flocks of “geese” migrate over my hat in their characteristic “V” formation

28 sts and 34 rounds to 10cm / 4in over colourwork on gauge-size needle. Gauge was achieved on 3.25mm / US 3 needle.

Sizing
Depending on your preference, this hat can be stretched and blocked to create a relatively slouchy shape or blocked into a neatly-fitting beanie
One size to fit head circumference: 51-58.5cm / 20-23in
Hat circumference (unstretched): 51cm / 20in
Height from brim to crown: 20.5cm/ 8in

This hat is knitted in the round from the bottom up, following a colourwork chart. Chart is read from right to left throughout.
