This is a pattern for a checks blanket, originally published in Knitting magazine. It is in a super chunky yarn that knits up quickly. The patterns are a houndstooth check, tweed checks slip stitch, and box stitch knit and purl texture. the edges are in moss stitch. This would be fine for a beginner able to do simple stranded colour work and slip stitch. You will need: 10 x 100 gm balls main and 2 x 100 gm balls contrast colours.
