The Champagne Tank was inspired by summer feelings and imagining wearing this top when enjoying your favorite drink in the summer warmth. Also, the soft beige pink shade of the yarn, which I naturally hand dyed, reminded me of the color of my favorite bubbly.
This pattern is suited for any knitter who can knit and purl. It is worked bottom up in the round, starting at the ruffle edge. The ruffle is worked in double knitting which makes it lay perfectly and gives a little extra weight to aid in the drape of the whole garment. Subtle and simple eyelet details are worked and keep you engaged in every round. The center front of the tank forms a slight bell curve, creating a flattering and unusual hemline. There are some short rows to compensate for the higher center front, and the two tank triangles on the front and back are worked flat individually. Two strap options are included in the pattern - one to create secured standard straps or longer straps to allow for more styling options and so you can tie the straps into bows on top of the shoulders.

-Choose a size to match your actual bust measurement. This pattern is suggested to be worn with 0”/0cm of positive ease. Meaning the measurements of the garment are exactly (or +/-1”) your bust measurement. If you are between sizes I would recommend going with the larger size so the top is not too tight.

Yarn
- Light fingering weight with a nice drape. You can substitute for fingering or lace weight if you still get gauge.
-Hundred Acre Wool Champagne Fingering: 50% Alpaca, 25% Linen, 25% Silk, 438 yds per 100g.
389 (438, 486, 535, 583){632, 681, 730, 788} yards needed for standard strap version. (more yarn is needed for longer straps)

Needles

• US 5 / 3.75 mm 24” / 61 cm circular needles for ruffle.
• US 4 / 3.5 mm 24” / 61 cm circular needles for body. -Swatch to determine your gauge, adjust your needle size if necessary to match called for gauge. Needle sizes above are a suggestion.

Gauge
-26sts x 36 rounds to 4” / 10 cm on smaller needles in Stockinette Stitch, after blocking.
-23sts x 32 rounds to 4” / 10cm on larger needles in double knitting.
- Note: It is important for you to achieve the correct stitch and row gauge for the best fit of the finished garment. I used stainless steel circular needles when designing.
