Ceres Celebration Scarf
This more-recipe-than-pattern is the pattern accompanying the sport weight yarn option during the Autumn Equinox installment for Gaia’s Colours Fibre Arts Sacred Sabbats Yarn Club.
The Ceres Celebration Scarf is worked in two halves, then grafted together. The purled background provides a canvas for the motif celebrating the Autumn Equinox and the grain harvest inspiring the colourway. A chart of the motif is provided, and depending on your yarn weight and your gauge (from a swatch), instructions are given to help you decide the number of motif repeats you want width- and length-wise for your scarf.
ERRATA (incorporated as of June 2010 version)
- For clarity, in Preparation section, the formula for Y in step 6 should read: Y = 10 + (18 × X).
Post-club version has an additional page with the motif in written form. Club members who are interested in this updated version, please PM me with your interest and I will work with club organizer to get you a copy.
Many thanks to everyone who expressed interest in this pattern - your encouragement and patience is very much appreciated!
