The “BUZZ” hat - a beehive of fun

This beehive hat is knit in the round using simple knit and purl stitches.
The bees and flower are knit separately and sewn on.

THE BASICS

• Pattern includes 6 sizes: Newborn / 3-6 months / 6-12 months / Toddler / Child / Adult

• Pattern is written in ENGLISH and uses standard U.S. knitting terms

• Instructions are for knitting in the round on circular and double pointed needles

• Knitting skill level - INTERMEDIATE

• Gauge: 20 stitches = 4 inches (10 cm)

• Knitting in the round

• Basic increases and decreases

• Knitting I-cord

SUPPLIES YOU’LL NEED

• Approx. 90 to 180 yds (82 to 165 m) DK or light-worsted weight yarn for hat depending on size made

• Several yds (m) DK weight yarn for bees and flower

• U.S. size 6 (4 mm) 12” (for 3 smallest sizes) or 16” circular needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• U.S. size 6 (4 mm) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge

• Stitch markers

• Yarn needle
