Brianna Headband
This pattern will be available for free until the end of the year.
The Brianna Headband is a simple headband, that’s knit in Brioche stitch. It is knit flat and sewn together to a twist at the end. It’s a beginner friendly project and a great stash buster (maybe even a great last minute gift, because it’s knit in no time!).
Size:
To ensure a proper fitting headband, please measure your head circumference beforehand. Details on calculation in the pattern.
Gauge: (after blocking)
10sts x 12rows = 10x10cm/4x4” with two strands, worked flat in brioche stitch on 7mm (US 10.75) needles
(The 12 rows stated here are in fact 24 knitted rows. Two worked rows = one counted row.)
Pattern for the swatch (Brioche stitch):
Row 1:
K1, (yo, sl1p, k1), repeat until the end of the row.
Row 2:
Yo, sl1p, (brk1, yo, sl1p), repeat until the end of the row.
Row 3:
Brk1, (yo, sl1p, brk1), repeat until the end of the row.
Repeat Rows 2-3 until you’ve reached the stated/your desired length.
End with a row 3. Cast off in 1x1 rib stitch (p1, k1).
