The Bias Shawl (an accidental name that we are sticking with now since we printed all the patterns with it! Oops), designed by Eweknit’s Claudia Q is the perfect portable knitting project for on-the-go knitters. It is simple to make, yet will keep you engaged from cast on to bind off with it’s changing stripe and textured stitch patterns.

Pattern Notes
Worked in a strand of light fingering yarn held together with a strand of mohair, this shawl is knit on the bias and begins at the bottom corner, increasing at each side to create a triangle. The main body of the shawl is worked using increases and decreases to create biasing lines. The shawl is then decreased to the opposite corner. When pattern indicates a colour change, join yarn at side of work leaving a tail to be woven in. When working stripe sequences that have less than 2 rows between colour changes, loosely carry yarns up the back side of work rather than breaking yarn for each colour change. For stripe sequences of more than 2 rows between colour changes, break yarn leaving a tail, and weave in at the end or as you go.
