Keep your hands cozy on brisk fall mornings with the Bevel Mitts! These modern hand warmers feature a graphic pattern of cables that appear to ‘grow’ out of the twisted rib cuff, then travel at crisp angles across the back of the hand. This pattern includes three style options—fingerless mitts, fingerless gloves, and full gloves—and is written in a range of four sizes, to fit a wide array of hands, with easy-to-adjust lengths to help ensure a perfect fit. All versions feature elegant thumb gusset shaping for a comfortable fit, and polished finishing touches like the alternating cable cast on and (optional) tubular bind off. The Bevel Mitts are designed in Imperial Yarn’s McKenzie, a climate-beneficial wool yarn, with rich colors and superb stitch definition to really allow those cables and twisted stitches to sing.
FINISHED DIMENSIONS
Sizes XS (S, M, L): 4 5/8 (5 3/8, 6 1/8, 6 7/8)“ [11.7 (13.7, 15.6, 17.5) cm] circumference at palm, blocked and unstretched
Fingerless mitts*: 7 1/4 (7 1/2, 7 3/4, 8)” [18.4 (19.1, 19.7, 20.3) cm] length
Fingerless gloves*: 7 3/8 (7 5/8, 7 7/8, 8 3/8)“ [18.7 (19.4, 20, 21.3) cm] length
Gloves*: 9 1/2 (10, 10 1/2, 11)” [24.1 (25.4, 26.7, 27.9) cm] length
*Lengths include 2 7/8” [7.3 cm] cuff, and are measured to the top of the hand opening / middle finger. Lengths for all versions can be adjusted to suit the wearer’s preferences.
Note that the ribbed fabric of these mitts/gloves will stretch significantly when worn; for a comfortably snug fit, it is recommended you select the size whose finished measurements are 1” to 2 1/2” [2.5 to 6.4 cm] smaller than your actual palm circumference. Samples shown are size S (Sunset, Merlot & Pearl Gray), worn with 2” [5 cm] negative ease, and size M (Dandelion), worn with 1 1/4” [3.2 cm] negative ease.
