There’s no such thing as bad weather – only the wrong clothes – Billy Connolly – a retired Scottish stand-up comedian
Betweenity Noun. | bee - tween – i – tee | Eighteenth century. English. Being in the middle, or between two things.
Adding this cowl to the hat and mitten set, seemed like the appropriate thing to do since I’m a Minnesota designer. You can’t wear too many layers, hide under too many wool pieces, or go outside underprepared if you live here. This set will pair brilliantly with my orange wool coat purchased from the sale rack at Nordstrom’s at the Mall of America a couple of years ago. I love that coat. It speaks to my winter soul. When it’s frigid and blowing snow sideways, I can pull on that coat and add this trio and know that I’ll stand out in a snowbank should I fall in.
Pattern Notes: All colorwork has been charted and is worked from the bottom up. Two charts are included for those who print in color and those who don’t. Cowl is knit using 3 colors – feel free to mix and match your colors to suit your preferences. And check out the test knitter’s projects on Ravelry for color inspiration. You can make the cowl circumference shorter or longer by adding or subtracting a multiple of 12.
NOTE: Heavy fingering weight or light DK weight yarn is an appropriate alternative if you can achieve gauge
