The lace designs come from a Japanese stitch dictionary, combined to make an easily memorized sock pattern that’s also extremely stretchy.
The main motif contains what I think of as little bees swarming from the top to the toe. Say Yes is perfect for this pattern, as its coloration gives the lace depth. A very busy color might not work as well.
This pattern fits a US Woman’s size 8.5 foot, and as written will stretch wide enough to accommodate a US Woman’s size 10 foot as well.
When we say stretchy, we mean elastic! This is the perfect pattern when you’re just not sure how wide someone’s calves are.
You can adjust the fit by knitting with either larger or smaller needles as needed.
