This sweater features a bateau neck, dolman sleeves, and one-piece top-down construction. A trendy silhouette enjoying a resurgence right now, the shape is still timeless enough to enjoy years of use. Make one up in alpaca or merino for the cold months, or in cotton, rayon, linen or hemp for the summer. Or go with acrylic for flexibility. I made one in Bernat Handicrafter Crochet Thread (gray acrylic), and one in Plymouth Alpaca Prima (tan).

The chevron lace stitch is easy enough, but the shaping can be a little challenging, so I am calling this an Intermediate pattern. Although offered in one size, it can easily be sized up by slightly increasing the gauge, or by adding additional reps before making the cuffs. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO STUDY THE SCHEMATIC (and the pattern) before starting. Although many of the dimensions are flexible, you need to know what the base pattern will provide before you decide to change it.

Enjoy! I am more than happy to help if you get stuck.

Please Note: My crochet pattern was inspired by the gorgeous knit Lady Bat sweater.
