Basket-weave hat coordinates with the Advent Scarf 2022 and the Basketweave Mittens. The hat uses two basket-weave patterns, one in the ribbing in the hat, which merges into 2x2 ribbing and then a 2nd stitch pattern for the body of the hat. The hat is decreased at 4 points, and the stitch pattern continues to the final rows of the hat.

There are two sizes a small and large. The fabric is very squishy and stretchy, so the two sizes will accommodate most heads.

Any sportweight yarn will be suitable and while the design is shown with a contrasting ribbing, it could be knit in one colour. The ribbing uses approximately 25 grams of yarn, while the body of the hat needs almost the full skein of yarn.
