This pattern is based on the 5 hour baby yoke sweater by Anne Stoddard and friends (source above). I have added tips for adding stripes or other color combinations and included instructions for making a matching beanie cap.

The main pattern is knitted with aran weight yarn which will make a sweater large enough for a 6 month old. For smaller sizes, including premature babies, use a thinner yarn with the appropriate needle.
