Bark Bracelet
Ribbons of Eucalyptus bracelet
A wee bracelet that evokes the rolling nature of shredded eucalyptus ribbons. (For those not familiar with these trees, some species of eucalypts shed their bark in long strips that pull away and roll off their trunks in great ribbons).
These bracelets are designed to be wrapped around the arm twice before securing. Connect with nature by wearing your own little bit of tree around your wrist.
Construction:
The bracelet is knit flat in stocking stitch, which will naturally roll. Simple increases shape the bracelet and a single buttonhole finishes off the bracelet.
Skill Level:
Beginner
This pattern was originally released as part of WARM: a large-scale collaborative knitting project that explored why the earth is warming and what we can do to make a positive change.
Knitters of all skill levels contributed to this large-scale piece that was exhibited at the Art Gallery of Ballarat in September 2016. It now has a permanent home in the Geelong Wool Museum.
