An afghan that can also be used as a floor game! Make this for your favourite backgammon player.
This is not a conventional knitting pattern. You do not have to work to a particular gauge. Make it in any yarn of your choice. The finished size will vary according to the yarn you choose.
The afghan in the photo was made using Aran yarns and is approximately 125 cm (50 inches) square. It has two main pieces which are stitched together. Only one yarn is used at a time.
The playing pieces are made from coils of i-cord or French knitting.
A sheet is included for you to try out your own colourways before you begin.
Read the story of this afghan on Ravelry or on Woolly Thoughts web site.
The pattern is one of six included in Afghan Games
