A simple headband with a twist and a festive mood. Starting with a provisional cast-on, the headband is knitted in the round until desired length. You then add a motif with a contrasting colour using the duplicate stitch method before twisting the tube and grafting the two ends together.
The pattern comes with three motifs to choose from : a leaf, a rose or a Scandinavian inspired star.

Yarn :
You will need two colours of fingering weight yarn in the following amounts :
MC : 120 m – 132 yds
CC : 20 m – 22 yds
Sample used Heidi Idea Merino Yak and Silk in Natural (MC) and Grenat (CC).

Needles :
3 mm (US 2.5) circular needles
or size required to get gauge

Gauge :
28 st x 34 rounds = 10 cm – 4 inches in stockinette after blocking

Size :
52 cm – 20 ½“ circumference
9 cm – 3 ¾” wide

The size is adjustable. Knit the headband until it measures 2.5 cm – 1” less than your head circumference.

Un bandeau simple avec un croisement et une ambiance festive. Commencé par un montage provisoire, le bandeau est tricoté en rond jusqu’à la longueur voulue. Vous ajouterez ensuite un motif avec une couleur contrastante en brodant au point de mailles avant de tourner le tube et de coudre les deux extrémités ensemble.
