12/5/2014 - I have changed needle size for ribbing from US#10 to US#9. Some people had a hard time to knit tight with big yarn.

ASAP! Quick with Big Yarn. One skein project.

You need only one skein of your favorite color of Madelinetosh A.S.A.P yarn.

Please note that you ‘ll use whole skein of the yarn. If you are a loose knitter, please use #11needles instead of #13. This yarn will stretch out after wet-blockng.

Start knitting with US9 needles for the tighter garter stitch band, then switch to US13 needles for the giant cables. The pattern also comes with a bonus instruction of simple garter stitch band (no button flap).

The hat is a bit slouchy but not too much.
I recommend you to finish with wet-blocking for softer texture. More detail of wet-bloking is provided in the pattern.
