Arabesque
How Arabesque is done
The Arabesque Sweater is worked in the round from the top down.
You will begin by casting on the Yoke at the neck, which starts with knit 1, purl 1 ribbing, and then is worked in Stocking Stitch with increase round to form the Yoke.
When the Yoke is finished, you will put the sleeve stitches on waste yarn or stitch holders, and then knit the body until the hem, which is worked with knit 1, purl 1 rib.
When the body is finished, you will pick up the sleeve stitches and work them in the round to the cuff, finishing with more knit 1, purl 1 rib.
Right after the neckline and before hem and cuffs you will work a Latvian Braid.
YARN
Myak TIBETAN CLOUD
100% WOOL
1 skein of 100 gr = approx. 300 mt /328 yds
mYak wool comes exclusively from an ancient breed of sheep that roam freely on the grassland of the Tibetan plateau, at an altitude of over 4000 meters.
Out of a deep respect for animal welfare, the sheep are sheared by nomads in the traditional way that has been used for centuries.
Tibetan Cloud is the result of using the finest and softest hearth of the wool, creating a yarn that is exceptionally light and soft sliding across your hands as clouds that float across the Tibetan sky.
