Apasa
Blending the city name of pre-Hittite Ephesus with the honeycomb motifs so prevalent in Asia Minor mythology, Apasa is a right triangle shawl knit in two solid stripes, shadowed by an overlying layer of variegated color.
Materials: Col 1: 1 skein Core, shown in 1040,
Col 2: 1 skein Core, shown in 1050,
Col 3: 1 skein Carmen, shown in 1410
Dimensions: 53”/135 cm long on left side, 34”/86.5 cm wide at finished end, 55”/140 cm wingspan, unblocked
Needles: US 6/4.00 mm, circular or straight, 32”/80 cm or length to accommodate sts; or size needed to obtain gauge
Notions: Tapestry needle, stitch markers as needed
Gauge: 30 sts x 42 rows in 4”/10 cm in Honeycomb Stitch
= 4” / 10 cm square, Gauge is not crucial, but will
affect yarn usage and the finished size of the work
