Amsterdam Canals Cowl
After my father-in-law gifted me this yarn from Amsterdam, I knew that I had to find a way to connect it to the city it came from. Surfing through pictures online, I became fascinated with the peaks and reflections of the canal houses of Amsterdam.
Knit from the top center down, this cowl is started flat and then joined in the round. It is another great opportunity to use mini skeins or stash bust your fingering weight yarns. This pattern can easily be worked in one, two, or three colors (yardage listed below).
Finished Size: approximately 21” (53 cm) around at neck opening x 18” (45 cm) deep at front point after blocking.
Materials:
• Fingering weight yarn—total 350 yds, 320 m
MC—210 yds/192 m, CC1—80 yds/73 m, CC2—60 yds/55 m
As shown: Undercover Otter, 1 skein Merino Single (400 yds, 366 m), 2 skeins Otter Pups (80 yds, 73 m)
• US Size 3 (3.25 mm) 19-24” (48-61 cm) circular needle (or size needed to obtain gauge)
