The beautiful island of Amrum in the Northern Sea is the inspiration for this breezy shawl.

The diamond pattern evokes the shape of the island, and is reminiscent of waves lapping against a peaceful shore.

The shawl is an elongated semi-circle with a patterned body and a simple garter stitch border. It’s the perfect project to showcase a yarn with some depth, like Cheeky Merino Joy by Rosy Green Wool in the Melange colorway.

Errata: Section 1, row 16, should read “… k25, kfb, k1”, not k26.

Pattern has been tech edited and test knitted.
