Amélie sweater is a delicate and slightly oversized sweater. As a starting point, the sweater is a simple basic sweater, with extra length on the back and high slits on both sides up to the armholes. These make for a particularly cool look. To prevent the sweater from slipping, bands hold it in place at the slits. Amélie sweater has a great fit and the slits create cool highlights on the otherwise simple sweater.
It is worked in the round and cut at both sides at the end. However, the individual parts of the sweater can also be worked in rows, without extra stitches cast on in between.
