This short, snug beanie features a geometric motif on a background of broken rib and a brim of 1x1 ribbing that is folded over. The hat is knit bottom up.

1 (1) skein of Woolstok Worsted by Blue Sky Fibers (100% fine highland wool; 123 yds / 112 m – 50 g), shown in Cast Iron.

1 (2) skein of Woolfolk Får (100% Ovis 21 Ultimate Merino®; 142 yds per 50 g skein), shown in color no. 21

US 5 (6) 3.5 (4.0) mm 16 circular needle

TECHNIQUES: Simple cabling, 1x1 ribbing, simple decreases (k2tog, ssk, s2kp), tubular cast-on.

GAUGE
Size 1: 22 sts and 34 rows = 4” in broken rib on larger needles, blocked.
Size 2: 20 sts and 32 rows = 4” in broken rib on largest needles, blocked.

ADDITIONAL NOTES
The hat is knit from the bottom up.
The 2 sizes are knit in 2 different gauges.
Woolstok is listed as a DK weight yarn. However, it is very versatile, and I see it more as a light worsted.
