When light hits prism-like quartz crystals, the colours that are refracted are many and varied. Inspired by the variations of colour found in amethyst. With yarn and size options ranging from a large five-colour gradient crescent to a smaller shawl composed of one solid colour with a contrast edging, there is a version of Allira that will best reflect the light that you want to be seen in. CC: Either 525 yd/485 m single gradient skien or a 5-colour gradient set, each skein consisting of 105 yds/96m. Colours in gradient sets will be referred to as CC1 through CC5.

NEEDLES
US 5/3.75mm long circular for holding a large number of sts (shawl is worked flat), or size required to obtain gauge

NOTIONS
Optional stitch markers for lace repeats, tapestry needle

GAUGE
18 sts and 36 rows = 4” / 10cm in Garter Stitch, firmly blocked.
Gauge is not crucial for this project but variations will affect yardage and final measurements.
