Allermuir
This shawl is my tribute to the things I love most in knitting … Garter stitch, gorgeous yarn and space to play with colour.
The original Allermuir shawl was a celebration of my deep love for Grellow - the perfect combination of grey and yellow. This updated version has lots of space to play with yarn and colour combinations, making it easy for you to create your own ‘perfect shawl’.
Allermuir is a relaxing knit with the garter stitch flowing effortlessly from your needles. I never tire of garter stitch, the ease with which it knits and the squishy hug it gives you as it wraps around your shoulders. I have a deep love for the humble garter stitch fabric. Couple this with some little eyelets, a sprinkling of stripes and an interesting border - it’s the kind of knitting that makes me smile from start to finish.
I designed this shawl so that I could knit something I loved, I hope you love it too.
