The Alessa top was inspired by the need to have tank tops that fit plus sizes properly, A top that can cover the under arm and the side boob. The top is worked bottom up as a tube top and then the straps are picked up from the front and seamed on the back. There are various options for you to chose including different constructions options. You can choose to knit on the round, knit flat and seamed to avoid purling, and split hem on the round.

The length is completely adjustable to your liking. The Alessa top has 4-8 “ of positive ease depending on the sizes, so I recommend you check the table where you see the width of the top and base your size choice on that and not on the regular size you wear.

If you’re in between sizes, I recommend you size down, due to the positive ease that the top has.
The top may seem big, but once you add the straps it will hold up and the ease will be distributed.
There are some mods to the pattern. Split hem, cropped, regular or tunic length and tank or flutter sleeve
