Abigail's Skirtie
Abigail’s skirtie was originally made for my daughter when she was in cloth nappies but due to it’s simple stretchy construction the skirt grew with her and still fit perfectly after potty training.
The original was made in pure wool and could be lanolised for use over cloth nappies although there is no soaker section.
The pattern is written in 3 sizes:
- 1-2 yrs 18” (20” stretch), 10” length
- 2-3 years 20” (22” stretch), 12” length
- 3-4 years 22” (24” stretch), 14” length
Instructions for a gauge swatch are given and you may find you need to adjust if using an acylic based yarn. This pattern does not require blocking.
The pattern is suitable for advanced beginners with a knowledge of front and back loop stitches required. The pattern is a simple 2 row repeat that can easily be customised to different sizes (instructions are given).
This pattern has been thoroughly tested by my lovely testers Shyamanivas and mrenji, any typos have been ironed out and the pattern is good to go.
