This shawl begins with the border which is then cut and secured.
The second motif is then worked in the same base chain as the border, and decreased on row 5 of every repeat. Then a few more rows of decreases are worked before cutting the yarn and securing it.

Motifs are charted and written out. Pattern uses US crochet terminology, throughout.
