This is the ninth part of a series of twelve patterns for a three-dimensional knitted box scene. All twelve parts will be published on alternate days in December 2018. There is also a preliminary pattern, ‘A White Christmas’, which has a full materials list and instructions on knitting some of the bigger pieces.

The outer frame for the picture sits on the big supports and is knitted in dark blue yarn. The second big snowdrift from the last pattern is then sewn on to this frame.
