This children’s cardigan uses a check pattern stitch to add texture and style. It is knit in a single piece, from the bottom up. 

The pattern is for sizes 2-3 (4-5, 6-9, 10-12) years. Finished Chest Size: 25” (28”, 30”, 32”). The yarn needed for each size is 660 (800, 1000 or 1200) yards. The pattern requires circular needles 24” (32” for larger sizes) size 7, ot size needed for gauge of 20 sts = 4” in Check Pattern stitch. You will also need stitch markers, 3 stitch holders and 1/2” – 5/8” Buttons: 5 (5, 6, 6). The cardigan in the picture shown is size 4-5, and knit in Cascade 220 SW color 1923 with Dill Buttons #261311.
