Dora Ohrenstein

I’m a crochet designer, author and teacher who has been at this for 20+ years! My latest book is The Tunisian Crochet Sweater Collection, released October 2025. Other popular books include Crochet Every Way Stitch Dictionary, and Top Down Crochet Sweaters. I have published regularly in just about all the crochet magazines, along with some fact filled articles on the history and international traditions of crochet.

I’m a lifelong New Yorker with a former life as a performing artist (soprano!).
