Hand dyed in Yorkshire; inspired by nature.

Bedale 4ply is a luxurious blend of baby yak and silk, which is super-soft, smooth, and strong. It has good drape to it but enough structure to have a little bounce too. It’s suitable for a wide range of projects; top suggestions would be shawls (lace and otherwise), hats, scarves, cowls, garments with at least some drape, plus it can be used alongside other 4ply yarns in all sorts of projects.

About baby yak:
Baby yak is the finest undercoat fibre which comes from the first shearing of the yak. It is as fine as cashmere, and because the longest fibres are selected for worsted spinning this reduces pilling. Baby yak is hypoallergenic and lanolin-free.

We recommend that you wash dark colours separately or wash a swatch before using dark and light colours together.

As with all hand dyed yarns, I would strongly advise that you use two skeins at a time, alternating from each one every couple of rows/rounds.
