Baby elephants are insanely cute. Their little trunks almost drag on the ground, and they
follow their mothers around in the most adorable fashion. I was lucky enough to visit
two of them at the Pittsburgh Zoo last summer, but something was missing. The one
friend out of my group that couldn’t go is far more into elephants than I am. So when I
was brainstorming a Christmas present for her, I came across some gray yarn in my stash
basket that reminded me of the elephants. One bright idea and a lot of note-scribbling
later, Trunkspace was complete – a small novelty purse for kids of any age, perfect for
holding your cell phone, wallet, and camera on a day trip. And there are no seams to
sew.

The shape can be held by sewing two 6 inch round plastic canvas pieces on the inside, but these are optional.
