Do What You Love and fight against Alzheimer’s disease! This cowl was designed as a crochet counterpart to knit designer Ann Budd’s Fading Memories Cowl 2026. As part of the Alzheimer’s Association Do What You Love to End ALZ campaign (formerly known as the Longest Day Campaign), Ann knits while raising funds and awareness to help fight this terrible disease.

The yarn for this year’s cowl is a bundle of pale gray and a gradient teal, exclusive colorway from local dyer Alexandra Art of Yarn only available at Longmont Yarn Shoppe. The fading color represents the decline of memory in people with Alzheimer’s Disease, and the texture represents the rocky road that their families travel in the process.

$5 from each pattern sold during the campaign will be donated directly to Alz.org under Ann Budd’s fundraiser.
